Roy Keane labels Man Utd and Liverpool players' conduct in tunnel "disgusting"

Roy Keane was infuriated with Manchester United and Liverpool players hugging each other in the tunnel ahead of Sunday's derby.

Roberto Firmino was seen speaking to and smiling with Andreas Pereira and Fred moments before the players walked out on the pitch.

Man United legend Keane claimed the players should have been 'preparing for war' not having a relaxed chat with rivals ahead of such an important fixture.

"I'm disgusted with players [scenes in the tunnel]. You're going to war, they're hugging and kissing," Keane said on Sky Sports.

"Don't even look at the opposition. You're going into battle against them.

"The game hasn't changed that much, the players have changed. You're going to war against these players and they're hugging each other.

"Chat to them after the game, or don't even chat to them after the game."

Keane is remembered for being a hot-head on a football pitch and had numerous clashes with rival players both on the pitch and in the tunnel during his career.

Perhaps his most infamous battle came against Patrick Vieira and took place in the Highbury tunnel ahead of Arsenal taking on United.
