Roy Keane jokes of beheading Alex Ferguson during Blarney Castle visit

'The Overlap on Tour' season opener on Wednesday night featured Roy Keane in fine form as he returned to his native county.

Even though the live show was captured in Dublin's 3Arena back in March, the entirety of his journey home, including the leg through Cork, had only just been made public on the Sky Max broadcast.

One of the funniest parts was when he showed Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher around Blarney Castle, which he said was only "15 minutes away" from his Mayfield childhood home.

In addition to kissing the Blarney Stone and posing for pictures with their hands and heads in the ancient beheading tool known as the pillory, they became all out tourist.

The Republic of Ireland legend then had the ideal opportunity to make fun of his longtime rival thanks to that photo op.

Neville initially stoked the fire by requesting the name of the current player who should be locked into it.

Keane replied: "There's a few managers I'd like to put in there...a Scottish one."

However, when his longtime teammate laughed aloud, he made it clear who he was seemingly thinking of.

"I was talking about Gordon Strachan! Who were you thinking Gary?"

The Corkman then added 'that was a joke, that was a joke.'

Later in the show, when Keane confronted Neville about how he kept referring to their former manager as "Sir Alex," there was an even more apparent allusion to Fergie.

Since he had been his boss for twenty years, the former right back insisted, it was merely out of respect.

However, Keane responded, "yeah exactly, was your boss. He's not anymore so just call him Alex."
