Roy Keane is the favourite to be the next Doncaster Rovers manager

Former Nottingham Forest assistant manager Roy Keane is now the bookmakers' favourite to be the next Doncaster Rovers boss.

Keane, who left Forest on Sunday afternoon, is 3/1 with Sky Bet to replace Grant McCann as the League One club's new manager.

McCann quit the Keepmoat Stadium last week to become the new Hull City boss.

Steve Evans is the 7/2 second favourite for the Doncaster job despite only being at Gillingham for less than a month.

Richie Wellens (7/1), former Mansfield boss David Flitcroft (8/1) and Darren Moore (9/1) are the other men fancied for the job.

Keane left Forest in order to get back into management, eight years after leaving Ipswich Town, and has seen his name in the running for the Derby job once Frank Lampard is confirmed as the new manager at Chelsea.

Doncaster are one of a limited number of jobs for grabs, but it remains to be seen if Keane would work in League One.
