Roy Keane identifies turning point in Manchester United season

Roy Keane hailed Bruno Fernandes as the 'obvious difference' after Manchester United turned their campaign around to clinch a top-four finish on the final day of the Premier League season.

United travelled to Leicester City knowing defeat would see the Foxes pip them to Champions League football but put in a resilient performance to take all three points.

Fernandes scored the opening goal from the penalty spot, taking his return in the Premier League to eight goals and seven assists in just 14 appearances since arriving from Sporting Lisbon in the January transfer window.

Speaking after the victory against Leicester, Keane praised United's performance and highlighted the impact of the Portugal international.

“It’s a great end to the season for United, when you look back at the last few months. When you’ve got a couple of new defenders coming in, it takes time to settle at a club like United," he told Sky Sports.

" The obvious change is Fernandes coming in. A job well done today by United. I think Ole’s handled himself brilliantly over the last few months, there were obviously question marks over him.

"The performance wasn’t that great but it was a job well done, and all credit to the United players, Ole and the staff.”
