Roy Keane hits out at Jadon Sancho's Manchester United critics as he cries 'give him a chance' after England masterclass

Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane says criticism of England star Jadon Sancho is unfair given the limited opportunities the youngster has had at club level.

Sancho notched up two assists during England's 5-0 win against Andorra, serving the first-half opener up for Ben Chilwell and then Tammy Abraham’s second-half strike.

The former Dortmund star is yet to be on target for United and Keane believes his arrival may have been viewed as secondary to Cristiano Ronaldo's.

But Keane thinks some have been too quick to write the 21-year-old off and deserves time to get it right at Old Trafford.

Keane told ITV: "It’s certainly been a slow start for him, it’s well and good doing well at Dortmund, but it’s a different animal going to Man United, big expectations.

“Maybe overshadowed slightly with Ronaldo coming in, but I’d always give the kid a chance, he’s been there a few months, nice opportunity for him [against Andorra], but give him a chance.”
