Piers Morgan heaps praise on Roy Keane's punditry style

TV presenter Piers Morgan has heaped praise on the punditry of Ireland legend Roy Keane.

Former Manchester United captain Keane has become one of the most popular voices on football since hanging up his own boots.

And the Corkman has a somewhat unlikely admirer in the shape of die-hard Arsenal fan Morgan.

The TV personality wrote on Twitter: "I agree with everything Roy Keane ever says as a pundit - love his brutal honesty, ferociously uncompromising intensity, utter intolerance of mediocrity and volcanic desire to win.

"He’s a woke virtue-signalling snowflake’s nightmare."

Many people were quick to agree with Morgan's assessment. One person wrote: "Couldn’t agree with you more on this so refreshing when he says it as it is."

Another said: "Now that is a life story you should do. Would be utterly compelling for one hour."

While someone agreed: "He’s comedy gold and he ain’t even trying to be funny! Love him."

Keane, 49, has been away from the touchline since leaving Nottingham Forest in 2019, where he was assistant manager to Martin O'Neill.

The former midfielder is working as a pundit for ITV during their coverage of the ongoing European Championship.
