Manchester United legend Roy Keane has dismissed the chances of his old side and Chelsea challenging Liverpool and Man City next season.
Liverpool have already secured the Premier League title for the 2019/20 campaign and lead the way at the top by 20 points with six games left despite a 4-0 defeat at City on Thursday.
Whilst Pep Guardiola's side have spectacularly failed to keep pace with Liverpool after back to back titles themselves, the hammering of the Reds showed their capabilities ahead of next season.
United, meanwhile, are expected to be in the mix next term following an upsurge in form on the back of the signing of Bruno Fernandes.
Chelsea have also been tipped for good times to come following the captures of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.
However, Keane has been quick to play down the chances of United and Chelsea competing with Liverpool and City next season.
"Liverpool have been desperate for this Premier League, that was something they were desperate to do," Keane told Sky Sports.
"Manchester City are more than capable of winning two more trophies [this season]. Man City are an outstanding team, brilliant team.
"Different transfer situation coming up for them this summer. (Leroy) Sane’s left, (David) Silva’s going off, so they have to recruit.
"You have to trust these managers. Klopp and the recruitment policy for Liverpool, it’s obviously worked. He’s bought the right players, the right characters to the club, and that’s why they are champions.
"And that’s why these two teams will be the teams to beat next year. I know United made a bit of progress.
"People are talking about Chelsea but it will be difficult to get past these two."
