Roy Keane fillets Man United after FA Cup win as 'lucky' Fulham performance leaves pundit bemused

Roy Keane reckons Manchester United are "lucky" to be in the FA Cup semi-finals as the pundit filleted their performance against Fulham.

United booked their place in the FA Cup semi-finals where they will face Brighton but their 3-1 victory over Fulham wasn't the straightforward victory the scoreline suggests. The west Londoners led through Aleksandar Mitrovic but the game turned on 90 seconds of madness as Mitrovic, Willian and Fulham boss Marco Silva were all sent off.

The Old Trafford side rallied from there as Bruno Fernandes equalised from the penalty spot before Marcel Sabitzer put them in front a minute later to cap off a breathtakingly dramatic turn of events. Fernandes then sealed the win late on and while the result was there for United, the nature of the performance left club hero Keane bemused.

He told ITV: ""The priority is getting to the next round but the manager will be hugely disappointed with what he saw. Fulham self-destructed but United were so poor."

And when asked if they got lucky, he admitted: "Yeah, but sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. They've fallen away in previous games and today it was self-destruct from Fulham. The home draws have really helped them so yeah, you need a bit of luck in cup competitions and United have had their fair share this season."
