Roy Keane explains the key differences between Man City and Manchester United

Roy Keane has admitted he has been impressed with the progress of Manchester City in the last few years as they move further away from Manchester United.

City are thick in the Premier League title race with Liverpool while United have fallen off in recent months after a strong start under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Keane thinks City have 'raised the bar' under Pep Guardiola as they try to secure back-to-back titles.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the clash between United and City at Old Trafford, he explained: “We’ve seen it with teams before...they relax, get comfortable, and that’s where this game can kick you where it hurts.

Joe Hart explains what Raheem Sterling has changed from his Liverpool FC days

"That’s why you have to be at it all the time and it’s why the really great teams are capable of winning big trophies

"Man City, certainly over the last year or two, as well as Liverpool, have raised the bar. Their level of performance has been fantastic.

"Doing it week in, week out, is the sign of a great team and a great player.

"It’s everything that United aren’t at the moment. It’s a long way back."
