Roy Keane has detailed the first thing he'd do if he became Manchester United manager, addressing his scathing criticism of stars David De Gea and Harry Maguire.
The Sky Sports pundit and former Red Devils star was an outsider after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's sacking last month, but didn't see the funny side in a suggestion that him taking charge would be a joke.
On new Sky Bet series 'Driving Home for Christmas' alongside fellow pundit Micah Richards, the ex-Man City defender noted his previous criticism of the pair could be a stumbling block in a hypothetical Keane takeover.
Keane hasn't held back in the past as he tore into goalkeeper De Gea in June 2020 in an infamous rant, and similarly targeted Maguire for criticism back in October.
But Keane claimed he'd address it with both players if he was to take over, and challenge them to prove him wrong in their performances under him.
"Why would that be a joke?" Keane asked Richards.

"Have you ever been in a dressing with me as a player? As a manager? You're meant to challenge people, fall out with people."
Richards said: "No, no - the reason why it was funny because of De Gea and Maguire, that was it."
Keane continued: "Alright - so the first thing, you'd walk into the club pull them two and say 'I've been really critical – prove me wrong'.
"And that's the end of the conversation. If they get upset, no problem, players are upset all the time.
"And it's not about the players liking the manager. The most important thing is, you hope, that the players respect the manager."
