Roy Keane demands Man Utd "draw the line" and gives Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ultimatum

Roy Keane has demanded Manchester United "draw the line" and has given Ole Gunnar Solskjaer one game to save his job.

The Red Devils were beaten 2-0 by local rivals City in the Manchester Derby on Saturday, although the margin could well have been wider.

United were a goal down within seven minutes as a result of Eric Bailly 's own goal before Bernardo Silva struck in added-time in the first half.

Pep Guardiola and co eventually strolled to victory as boos rang out around Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

Man Utd 0-2 Man City : 5 talking points as derby defeat piles pressure on Solskjaer

Keane, on punditry duty for Sky Sports , laid into his former side post-match and says Solskjaer must "get a result" when the Red Devils travel to Watford after the international break.

"You have to draw the line now. It’s not quite happening," the ex-United captain stated.

"Ole is a brilliant guy and an honest guy but management is about survival and he's got to get a result in the next game.

"A coach or a manager can’t give a player courage. I have to remind myself it’s hard out there but they shouldn't be 11 points behind [league leaders] Chelsea."

Have Your Say! Is time up for Solskjaer at Old Trafford? Let us know in the comments section

Solskjaer's men have now suffered back-to-back home defeats to their bitter rivals and could be 10th in the Premier League table by Saturday evening if results go against them.

Despite Liverpool winning 5-0 at Old Trafford a fortnight ago, Keane believes his former team-mate will be under more pressure this time around.

"I think Ole will be under more pressure than the Liverpool game," the Irishman lamented. "The way they lost, it’s a derby game.

"Ole was shook up in that interview, it’s tough for a manager when you’ve got beat in a match and he’s getting asked hard questions but he’s steps up and he always has and I’ll give him that.

"But if you’re a manager, this morning he spoke about the players being in a good mood in the hotel whatever the hell they were doing, you’re going into a match looking at the bus and [Luke] Shaw, [Harry] Maguire, Fred and your job is depending on these guys?

"You’re in trouble. You've got international players. Anyone who tells me Fred is good enough for United - they’re in cuckoo cuckoo land.

Is Solskjaer the right man to take Man Utd forward?

Opinion : 'Solskjaer waved white flag as Man Utd turned in latest sackable performance'

"Cavani is 30-odd you can't hang your hat on him every week. I can imagine Ole looking at players and not knowing what you’re going to get.

" Micah [Richards] will enjoy their day and they all have their little day, Liverpool one title in 30 years. Man United are in a bad place, but there’s a way out.

"Is Ole the man to do it? Huge question marks.

"I hope [he is] but it’s more hope than belief."
