Roy Keane delivers verdict on Tottenham qualifying for the Champions League

Tottenham got back to winning ways in the Premier League on Sunday.

A 4-0 victory over Burnley was as comfortable as the scoreline suggests, with Jose Mourinho's men dispatching with the Clarets with ease at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The match was significant for Gareth Bale scoring two goals on only his second Premier League start since returning to the club.

Bale has shown in recent weeks that he is getting back to his best and the brace against Burnley made it four goals in his last four appearances for Spurs in all competitions.

Not only that, but he is linking up well with Son Heung-min and Harry Kane too, as Spurs aim to get back into the mix for the Champions League places following a run of just one win in six prior to victory over Burnley.

Spurs are six points adrift of the top four, although they have a game in hand over fourth-placed West Ham, with that game in hand on Thursday against lowly Fulham.

Win that and they could be just three points shy of the top four, with it all still to play for in the final two months of the season.

Roy Keane, however, does not think the top four is possible for Spurs this season.

Speaking on Sky Sports on Sunday, the Manchester United legend said: "Spurs, Champions League? (shakes head)

"It was easy for them today, I said before the game: on their day, they’re a tidy team. Burnley were desperate, I cannot believe how bad they were. Spurs have done well today, and I’ve given them credit over the years, they’re a nice team, but it was easy for them today.

"I could have played in that game today. When they come up in the big games, they usually come short. They have the cup competitions, the Europa League and League Cup, they should focus on that - I can’t see them getting top four, no chance."
