Roy Keane delivers brutal Ross Barkley put-down as he points out his best position

Roy Keane says Ross Barkley's best position for England is on the bench ahead of the Three Lions' Euro 2020 qualifier with Bulgaria.

The Manchester United legend clearly isn't a fan of the Chelsea midfielder, who was a topic of conversation on ITV after being selected to start by Gareth Southgate.

Former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon announced that he's not sure what Barkey's best position is, before posing the question to Keane in the studio.

Without skipping a beat Keane responded: "On the bench!"

Keane is known for speaking his mind when providing commentary, and hit out at both Danny Rose and Harry Maguire following England's recent defeat by Czech Republic.

"You're five minutes away from getting a draw, which is not the end of the world, and there's almost a bit of arrogance from England," said Keane.

"Danny Rose was never going to win a header, there was more chance of me winning a header than him.

"And then Maguire, for a guy with his experience, you have to smell and sense danger in a football game, and he strolls out.

"Get up to people! It just summed up the whole night for England."
