Roy Keane debuts new look during World Cup final ITV coverage

Roy Keane got fans talking ahead of the 2022 World Cup final as he wowed viewers with his new facial hair.

The Manchester United legend was joined by Gary Neville and Ian Wright along with presenter Mark Pougatch for ITV's coverage of the mouth-watering contest between France and Argentina in Qatar.

But those watching the build-up on ITV were quick to take to social media to discuss Keane's new-look facial fuzz. Usually sporting a full beard or stubble, he debuted a new World Cup look with a moustache only, the Mirror reports.

One fan commented: "Roy Keane is channelling his inner Dutch Van der Linde."

Adam Clery wrote: "Enormous ironic cheers going up in the pub here every time Roy Keane's rascal facial hair is on screen."

Niam Suggitt said: "Roy Keane's facial hair has forced my hand... I'm watching the final on ITV. (And Ally McCoist of course, far more enjoyable than [Jermaine] Jenas)."

Keane, who won 67 caps for Republic of Ireland, was also compared to comic book character Omni-Man.

Meanwhile, @Andrew_GWilson commented: "Btw what has Roy Keane done to his face?"
