Roy Keane and Damien Duff are being considered as a potential Celtic management team.
The Hoops have been forced to move on to plan B after a deal to make Eddie Howe their new manager collapsed.
Yokohama Marinos head coach Ange Psotecoglu is understood to be the front runner.
But the Daily Star reports that the Irish duo are under consideration for a return to Celtic Park.
Manchester United legend Keane had a short spell as a player with Celtic back in 2005/06.
However it wasn’t nearly as successful as was hoped as Keane eventually retired after making his debut in the embarrassing 3-2 Scottish Cup exit to lowly Clyde.
Keane hasn’t managed in club football since leaving Ipswich in 2001, but was second in command to former Celtic boss Martin O’Neil with the Republic of Ireland national team.
Keane has also held the same role at Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest.
Duff has more recent history with the Celtic, being appointed reserve manager in January 2019. Under Brendan Rodgers.
After Rodgers was replaced by Neil Lennon on an interim basis, Diff was promoted to first team coach with John Kennedy stepping up to be Lennon’s number two.

The former Chelsea winger was in the dugout as they clinched an eighth and ninth Scottish Premiership title before leaving to become Stephen Kenny’s assistant with the Republic of Ireland.
However, Duff left his role last January after he was reportedly behind a controversial pre-match video that was played before a friendly defeat to England.
