Roy Keane blasts Sir Alex Ferguson as Manchester United legend reignites 15-year Old Trafford cold war

Roy Keane has reignited his feud with former boss Sir Alex Ferguson and claims he will never forgive his mentor.

The Manchester United legend - known for his no-nonsense opinions - has once again put the Scottish football icon on blast for how he was portrayed in the aftermath of his Old Trafford exit in 2005.

Keane left the the Premier League giants under a cloud before joining Celtic and has offered a no holds barred assessment of his former club since leaving.

The pair's relationship disintegrated in their final years in Manchester - after winning 17 trophies together - including a historic Treble during the 1998/99 season.

And the 48-year-old has once again took aim at the man who signed him for Nottingham Forrest by querying claims over Ferguson's legendary man management.

Keane told Off The Ball: "I wouldn't forgive Ferguson. The media spin, how I apparently upset everybody, it was all nonsense,"

"I don't care if it's Alex Ferguson or the Pope, you're going to defend yourself.

"People talk about Ferguson's man-management. Nonsense. People said he always had the best interests of Manchester United at heart. Darren Ferguson (his son) won a medal. He was very lucky."

Keane joined Celtic in 2005 before retiring the following summer.

The outspoken star has combined punditry work with coach and was most recently Forest's No.2 under Martin O'Neill.
