Roy Keane and Gary Neville issue Manchester United warnings ahead of Man City clash

Manchester United legends Roy Keane and Gary Neville have sent warnings to their former side ahead of the crucial clash at home to Manchester City.

The Reds sit seventh ahead of the game at Old Trafford and know that a win would see them move up the Premier League table.

United are unbeaten in their last eight matches in all competitions but Keane has insisted that only a win against the two-time reigning champions City is good enough this afternoon.

"Without a doubt (more important game for United). It was a poor second half performance last week against Everton," Keane told Sky Sports.

"Draws are no good for United now, they have to win games like this."

Neville also believes the match is more important for United but he is more upbeat about the Reds' situation.

However, the former United defender explains that the club must earn 'three or four points' from their next two league matches against City and Tottenham before a kinder list of fixtures.

"I think so. They are a bit more consistent and there is a bit of a good feeling. It has given them more arrogance," Neville told Sky Sports.

"This is a different test for them today. When United have had a chance to go close to that fourth place, they falter.

"United have a massive chance. If they can get three or four points from these two matches (City and Tottenham), they have a great set of fixtures afterwards."
