Roy Keane and Gary Neville criticised for comments on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Man Utd

Roy Keane and Gary Neville have both been accused of cronyism for failing to question whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the right man to take Manchester United forward.

The Red Devils were looking to bounce back this weekend after being knocked out of the Champions League by RB Leipzig.

But United failed to take their chances at home against Manchester City, with the rivals sharing the spoils on Sunday.

Solskjaer revealed he was happy after the game, praising his side for their best performance against City during his time in charge.

And Keane and Neville did little to challenge this notion, with former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan accusing the former Man United stars of cronyism.

"The discussion after the game was about the performance of the side, but more so the performance of the manager," Jordan told talkSPORT.

"Micah Richards was quite brave, I thought he came out with a salient question really, as we look now is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the man to take Manchester United forward?

"I thought it was cronyism. Gary Neville was very robust, brilliantly robust, about calling out Mino Raiola for the divisive slop he is in terms of the situation regarding Pogba.

"When it came to the real burning question of Manchester United, what's going on with the club and how far Solskjaer is going to take them – both Keane and Gary Neville disappeared back into the cronyism; used to play with him, used to have a relationship with him and didn't really want to answer the question."
