Roy Keane aims brutal Manchester United trophy dig at Gary Neville

Roy Keane jumped at the chance to have a dig at Gary Neville, by suggesting that Manchester United could've won more trophies had they signed Stuart Pearce.

The Old Trafford legends are featuring on Sky's new TV show: The Overlap On Tour. The series comes after the success of Neville's YouTube success, with the old team mates travelling up and down the country for live shows - where they are joined by special guests along the way.

The latest episode saw Keane, Neville and Jamie Carragher head to London, with former England defender Stuart Pearce meeting up with the trio in the capital. Chatting in a Pie and Mash shop, the topic of Sir Alex Ferguson's interest in Pearce was raised. A move to United never materialised though, with Newcastle United signing Pearce from Nottingham Forest in 1997.

On the near-move to United, Pearce said: "So he (Alex Ferguson) drove to Nottingham and sat in the car and waited for him (Forest manager Brian Clough) to come out the front door - because he wouldn’t take calls about me."

In reply to that, Neville came out with: "I wouldn’t have got in at United if you’d gone United! If you went to left back, Dennis (Irwin) would have gone to right-back and I’d have been done!"

And Keane wasted no time in jumping in with: "We could have won more, then! You’ve always been a lucky b——d, I’m telling you. That’s spoilt my dinner! You (Pearce) on one side and Dennis on the other. Proper full-backs..."
