Roy Keane has accused David de Gea of being "arrogant", and says the Manchester United goalkeeper has real competition from Dean Henderson following his Everton gaffe.
Spain international De Gea was at fault for Everton's opener when he was closed down by Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who deflected his goal kick past him, in United's 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Keane made his disappointment in De Gea known at the half-time break, saying on Sky Sports: "As a manager or player I'd kill him! You'd kill him!"
After the final whistle the ex-Red Devils captain continued his rant, explaining that the keeper will have competition from Henderson when he returns from his loan spell at Sheffield United.
Keane said: "It's almost a bit of arrogance from him, waiting. I'm sure Ole spoke about 'You will be closed down - Everton away - by this young striker [Calvert-Lewin] who is in great form'.
"I wouldn't be surprised [if he has competition from Henderson]. I think there will have to be. That's the manager's job, you are constantly making decisions on your players.
"They have Henderson out on loan, and it's certainly an option that Ole will be thinking over."
Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was dismissive of the mistake following the fixture, suggesting he isn't planning on dropping De Gea just yet.
"It's something that happens in football once in a while if you take too long on the ball," the Norwegian told BBC Sport.
"Calvert-Lewin always chases everything and it's unfortunate that it goes in the goal. We responded and got the goal we deserved."
