Roy Hodgson accidentally sold the wrong player when at Liverpool.
That's according to Alex Kacaniklic, who alleges the former Reds manager sent him to Fulham by mistake as part of the transfer to sign Paul Konchesky.
Hodgson hadn't been at Liverpool long when he signed Konchesky, with whom he had worked with during the Whites' run to the Europa League final in 2010.
The Reds paid a transfer fee for the left-back and parted company with two youth prospects to sweeten the deal: Lauri Dalla Valle and Kacaniklic.
The latter was highly rated at the time, although never fulfilled his early potential at Craven Cottage, despite spending four years at the club.

And Kacaniklic has now come out to suggest Hodgson made a mistake when selling him to Fulham, claiming he sent the wrong 'Alex' to south-west London.
"It was a bit difficult for Liverpool to replace me," Kacaniklic told sports podcast Lundh.
"When I was in Fulham and before I signed up, I had a conversation with Roy Hodgson on the phone, where we found out that he had changed the wrong Alex.

"In his head, he thought he changed another Alex for Konchesky. But then it was too late. It's a little funny.
"Then he just told me I was welcome back in Liverpool with open arms, but that I should do what I felt. I did not [go back]. Then I had already changed my mind and was very excited about coming to Fulham."
