Roy Hodgson reveals the Leeds United obsession that has kept him busy during lockdown

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has explained how Leeds United have kept him entertained during the coronavirus lockdown.

The Leeds-related documentary, “Take Us Home”, is on Amazon Prime and Netflix, and it has been prominent in the Hodgson household during the lockdown.

With no football on for an indefinite period, the Eagles’ manager has ensured he is still entertained and chose the Leeds-based series to do just that.

The documentary highlights what happened in Marcelo Bielsa’s first season at the Whites, something Hodgson very much enjoyed.

As well as the “Take Us Home” documentary, the former Liverpool boss also mentioned some other football-related series’ that he’s watching.

“The weather is of course very good at the moment, so we tend to spend a couple of hours in the morning on our balcony reading books,” Hodgson said to the official Crystal Palace website.

“We then normally try to use our makeshift gym facility, one after each other, using the bike to get the heart-rate up and get the feeling we’ve done something physical early on in the day.

“After that, we’ll have lunch, and an early afternoon walk. Then like everybody else, the evenings are spent in front of the television.

“I’ve finally got round to watching several interesting documentaries from various football clubs.

“I watched Manchester City’s ‘All or Nothing’, then Leeds United’s ‘Take Us Home’, which I very much enjoyed.

“I found a (Diego) Maradona documentary, then caught up with the one done some while ago with QPR’s ‘Four Year Plan’, which was a bit of a debacle! Now, I’m halfway through ‘Sunderland ‘til I Die’.”

Leeds are currently top of the Championship and have their best chance to get promoted back to the Premier League for the first time in 17 years.

The Whites will be hoping the season can continue in some form, with there still being uncertainty regarding the division’s conclusion.
