Roy Hodgson was angered by the suggestion Crystal Palace were lucky to draw at Everton on Monday evening.
And the Palace manager also hit back at a question surrounding the full-time confrontation between Everton defender Ben Godfrey and Wilfried Zaha, admitting he was 'disappointed' that an entertaining match had been 'pushed to one side'.
Everton took a second-half lead through James Rodriguez at Goodison Park before substitute Michy Batshuayi levelled proceedings with five minutes remaining in an end-to-end affair.
When asked if he was relieved to take a point back to Selhurst Park after a series of missed chances from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison, Hodgson said: "No, I don't agree with that.
"We came back from 1-0, but we had as much possession, as many opportunities and as many chances as them. I cannot agree with your observation.
"However, I am pleased that we got back into it and grateful to our keeper, but their chances came quite randomly, not often from us getting cut open. Otherwise I thought we were every bit as good as Everton."
Godfrey and Zaha - who was strongly linked with a move to Everton in the summer of 2019 - appeared to exchange words at the final whistle but Hodgson refused to speculate on the incident.
He added: "You know me better than that. I've just enjoyed a wonderful football match with some great football between two teams and you ask me about a minor incident which I didn't see.
"I'm disappointed that such a lot of good football has been pushed to one side."
