Roy Carroll says his "dream" as a coach is to bring through the next wave of Northern Ireland international goalkeepers.
Carroll earned 45 caps with his country and is now part of the Irish FA's player development set-up, helping guide the early careers of teenage shot-stoppers looking to make it in the game.
The 45-year-old believes more is needed to offer young goalkeepers immersive training sessions, just like they do across the water.

Carroll told Belfast Live: "My dream in the next 10 years is to see a young goalkeeper go on and play for Northern Ireland's first team.
"That would be fantastic for Northern Ireland goalkeepers, and we need to work hard to get things right on the training pitch. And we need workshops and development programmes.
"In England they get sessions at 9, 10, 11 years old up to 15, sometimes 4-5 times a week. Our boys are maybe lucky to get one.
"So we need to drive this on, but Rome wasn't built in a day."
Former Manchester United keeper Carroll added: "There are a lot of young goalkeepers disappearing from the game because they are not getting the proper coaching at a young age.
"They need it at 11, 12 and 13 years old, like outfield players do. That's why I jumped at the chance to work with the Irish FA. It is a tough job because we are starting from scratch, but things are moving in the right direction.
"There's a pathway now for young goalkeepers. I have been working with Gerard Lyttle for a couple of years now, with the Under 17s and 19s.
"We enjoy working with them and helping them develop. We give them advice and work with them as much as we can. Sometimes you don't have enough hours with them so they have to put in their own work as well.
"And they are doing that and getting recognised by clubs in England and Scotland. Talent can only take you so far, but you need to put the work in."
