Roxanne Pallett has released her romantic wedding video as she celebrates her six month anniversary in New York.
The former Emmerdale star wed New York fire fighter Jason Carrion in Brooklyn in January.
Standing beneath cherry blossom trees Roxanne and Jason, accompanied by the Bill Conti piano score from the Rocky soundtrack and surrounded by 10 loved ones, became husband and wife.
Channelling Rocky Balboa and his wife Adrian, their reception was held at Adrian’s restaurant, featured in the movies Rocky Balboa and Creed, in Philadelphia.
The reception was adorned with a blessings jar and romantic movie quotes were scribed on vintage mirrors.
Roxanne, 37, said about their big day: “It was everything we could’ve dreamed it would be.”
The morning after their wedding day the newlyweds slipped away in their wedding attire to the Rocky steps to greet the sunrise at 5am.
Six months on the couple, who live in New York, spent their anniversary on a trip to a hidden waterfall and log cabin in Pennsylvania.
It was a welcome break after Jason, a firefighter in Manhattan, has been working tirelessly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
To mark their anniversary, he found a British store in New York and bought Roxanne all her home favourites that she’s been missing including custard creams and Branston pickle.
It was love at first sight for the couple when they first met by chance in Brooklyn.
They went for a coffee together after Roxanne, who appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2018, stepped out of a taxi and appeared to be lost.
Roxanne revealed she was dating Jason in August last year.
According to reports Jason popped the question to Roxanne after meeting her mum for the first time during a visit to the UK.
In October the actress treated her man to a proper northern meal after arriving back in Manchester.
The pair tucked into a chippy tea washed down with a can of Vimto at Whittakers Fish Bar in Cheadle Hulme.
Roxanne made a fresh start in The Big Apple after her turbulent time on Celebrity Big Brother.
Last summer she revealed she had been diagnosed and treated for a complex form of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder after she falsely accused her CBB housemate Ryan Thomas of punching her on the Channel Five show and said she had been living like a virtual recluse.
The actress quit CBB and faced an unprecedented backlash in the aftermath.
She later apologised to Ryan, his family and friends and admitted she was "massively wrong."
