Rowdy cruise ship passenger kicked off luxury vessel as it docked at Scots port

A rowdy cruise ship passenger was chucked off the MSC Virtuosa as it docked at a Scots terminal.

Police were called to Greenock's Ocean Terminal following reports of a disturbance on-board.

The luxury MSC Virtuosa had docked in Inverclyde and officers were brought on board after a confrontation between male passengers.

A 37-year-old man was asked to leave the cruise ship.

He was also issued with a formal police warning.

No one was injured during the disturbance, which happened at about 4pm on Wednesday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4pm on Wednesday, 28 July, 2021, police were called to a report of a disturbance on a cruise ship docked at the Ocean Terminal, Greenock.

"No one was injured and a 37-year-old was issued with a Recorded Police Warning and was required to leave the ship."

MSC have been approached for a comment.
