Rowan Anderson: Search underway to trace missing boy last seen on Coatbridge train

Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a 15-year-old boy reported missing from Airdrie since 10pm on Saturday night (August 28).

Police enquiries have confirmed that Rowan Anderson was last seen on a train at Sunnyside Rail Station, Coatbridge at 1am on Sunday (August 29) and it is believed he may've been travelling into Glasgow.

Rowan is described as 5"8, slim build, brown hair dyed a dark blue colour. He was wearing grey jogging bottoms, a burgundy school sweater and black and blue trainers.

He was carrying a navy rucksack with a bright orange stripe which may contain a change of clothes, possibly a bright green zipper top and black jogging bottoms.

Anyone who may have seen Rowan since this time, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 4649 of 28th August 2021.
