If you're heading out for a festive drink at the weekend, you may want to be mindful of an astounding insight offered by today's FT: it seems rich people are less swift to get their round in than others.
As the FT rather sneeringly puts it:
"The financially aware should shun their rich friends and befriend a gaggle of hairdressers if they want to avoid picking up the bar tab."
It further appears - and this may come as a shock to some, who believe m'learned friends are beacons of integrity - that lawyers in particular are sometimes less than hurried on their way to the bar.
Barrister, defend thyself.
