Roughnecks player crashes team touchdown celebration, steals ball

The Tampa Bay Vipers scored just 12 points through their first two XFL games, but in their first home game at Raymond James Stadium, the Vipers didn’t struggle to put points on the board in a tight game with the undefeated Houston Roughnecks.

The Vipers scored late in the second quarter to enter halftime tied 18-18, but the Roughnecks opened the second half with a touchdown drive to go up by eight. Late in the third, the Vipers answered. After converting a crucial 4th-and-4 near midfield, quarterback Taylor Cornelius hit receiver Dan Williams with a 20-yard touchdown pass, and the Vipers celebrated by gathering around the campfire in the endzone.

While the Vipers were sitting down and encircling the ball, Houstons’ Marqueston Huff jumped into the center of the group, stole the ball and walked out.

Huff put an exclamation point on his heist by sticking his tongue out at the camera.
