Rotherham set to win race for Accies star

Hamilton star Hakeem Odoffin could be on the verge of a move to English League One side Rotherham.

They have reportedly had two bids turned down for the 23-year-old, but The Scottish Sun say they're expected to come back in with a third bid within days.

Odoffin received rave reviews for his performances last season even in Accies' relegation from the Premiership, having moved from Livingston in the summer.

It's believed that Hamilton will net a five-figure fee for the Englishman, as he has a year left on his contract.

Odiffin has only played once for Accies this season, against Edinburgh City (SNS Group)

Odoffin is recovering from Covid and has only played once for Accies this season, in the 1-0 win at Edinburgh City in their Premier Sports Cup opener.

Hibs had looked to be favourites to sign the Englishman, with Motherwell also believed to be interested, but it seems that he will be moving south.

He played in 41 games last season, scoring four times, and was deployed in defensive midfield, right-back and centre-half.
