Rother Valley General Election 2019 results in full

Voters of Rother Valley have been braving the cold and the rain at the polls to elect their MP in the 2019 General Election.

And now the waiting is over for Maltby and certain parts of Rotherham.

The seat of Rother Valley has a new Member of Parliament.

Before this year's election, the sitting MP was Labour's Kevin Barron.

Polls closed across the UK at 10pm on December 12, and a count has been underway ever since.

The 2019 results are below:

New MP is Conservative Alexander Stafford.

Breakdown:

Conservative: Alexander Stafford - 21,970

Labour: Sophie Wilson - 15,652

The Brexit Party: Allen Cowles - 6,264

Liberal Democrat: Colin Taylor - 2,553

Green: Emily West - 1,219

Independent: Nigel short - 1,040
