Rotary Club hands out sweet treats to spread some cheer in lockdown

Livingston Rotary Club has been busy as ever during lockdown.

The charity has been working with Paterson Arran Ltd in Livingston who have donated boxes of biscuits which the club has distributed to some 30 community day centres, care and nursing homes, housing with care, support services for adults and schools providing critical meal cover for pupils.

Lizette Bingham, president of the club explained: “Members who work for or volunteer for community/care organisations are concerned about how those who have been in isolation for all these weeks and the fact are really missing someone to have a blether with over a cup of tea and a biscuit.

“A very special thank you to the magnificent staff at Paterson Arran Ltd, Livingston for your generosity and for your tireless work during the past 13 weeks. “Thank you for your support for local causes - we could not have done this without you.”
