Seahawks sign wide receiver Nyqwan Murray

Ahead of today’s training camp practice, the Seattle Seahawks announced they signed wide receiver Nyqwan Murray.

Murray takes the spot of wide receiver Daniel Williams, who was waived on Wednesday. Williams, a Jackson State product, spent one week with the Seahawks after signing ahead of the start of camp.

An undrafted free agent out of Florida State, Murray was a participant in the Seahawks rookie minicamp earlier this spring.

Seattle has Murray listed at 5 feet 10 and 193 pounds. For the Seminoles last season, he logged 54 catches for 744 yards and three touchdowns. He amassed 127 catches for 1,854 yards and 12 touchdowns over his college career.

Murray will add depth and competition to an already-crowded wide receiver corps.

The Seahawks practice Thursday and Friday at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center before Saturday’s scrimmage at Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell.
