Ross Stewart price tag revealed as MK Dons join race for Ross County striker

MK Dons last night joined the race to land Ross Stewart from Ross County.

The English League One side offered £300,000 with significant add-ons that could tempt the Staggies to sell their prize asset.

The Dons are managed by former Scotland and Rangers defender Russell Martin who is determined to get the transfer over the line before the window shuts on Monday.

Shrewsbury, Fleetwood and Sheffield Wednesday are also keen on the frontman.

County boss Stuart Kettlewell said: “There’s been another couple of bids for Ross but they’ve still fallen seriously short.”

Record Sport understands County have placed a price tag of close to seven figures on the striker.

Stewart, 24, has found the net twice in nine games for the Dingwall side so far this term.

He was named the club's player of the season last campaign for his 11-goal haul in just 26 games before the early end to the season.
