Ross Kemp's new show to film inside NHS hospital and document coronavirus frontline

Ross Kemp will be shedding light on the real battle against coronavirus and the 'sacrifices that NHS staff make' in a gripping new ITV documentary.

Filming from inside an NHS hospital in Milton Keynes, the former actor and investigative journalist will document how medics are working relentlessly against Covid-19.

The 55-year-old television personality announced today on social media that the show - called Ross Kemp: On the NHS Frontline - will air next Thursday and urged everyone to tune in.

"My team and I have been embedded in Milton Keynes ... to tell the story of Covid-19. To show you, the sacrifices that NHS staff are making on our behalf," Ross says in the video.

In the caption, Ross explained the premise of the show.

"We’ve been filming on the frontline with @NHSuk staff as they deal with the coronavirus pandemic and we’ve been following the patients who are fighting Covid-19.

"First episode of Ross Kemp: On the NHS Frontline airs next Thursday 8.30 @itv. Please watch #COVIDー19 #coronavirus.'

A number of the investigator's followers have commended him for recording such an eye-opening documentary at a time when some citizens continue to flout government guidelines.

"Well done @rosskemp for your documentary on COVID-19 . It’s about time someone scared the general public into how serious this is. Maybe this time they’ll listen and learn," wrote one fan.

Another simply put: " Best journalist ever."

"This is going to be great if his other shows are anything to go by," wrote a third.

"can’t wait to watch this!! It’s so important that people see what it’s really like, hopefully it will then make people think before going out unnecessarily! #nhs," explained another.

The announcement comes just one day after it emerged that some NHS doctors and nurses were 'gagged' from voicing their concerns over the lack of PPE equipment publically.

The TV documentary will shed light on the NHS frontline battle and give viewers a true picture of how the deadly virus is affecting the country.
