Ross Kemp gets emotional as he celebrates England's Euro win against Denmark

Like most people across the UK, Ross Kemp tuned in to watch England take on Denmark in the Euro semi-finals on Wednesday.

And after the Three Lions' triumphant win, Ross admitted their win "meant so much" to everyone, especially after going through so much during the coronavirus pandemic.

And Ross believes that Harry Kane and his team can bring home the trophy after they beat Denmark 2 - 1 in the nail-biting game, which saw England secure the win after a tense match that went to extra time.

In a video posted to Twitter, he said: "Well, I once said it means everything - everything. Well if I see Harry Kane lift that trophy on Sunday, it will mean everything, truly.

"Let's enjoy the next 24 hours because my word, superb. Superb. Well done Gareth, well done the team. Stay focused, believe, believe, believe. I can't tell you what it means to me and millions of others because we've all been through a pretty hard time."

The television presenter believes a win at the final will help those who have been through a "very hard time" over the last 15 months.

"Some of us a very hard time. Not me, but I know people who have been through a very hard time and it means so much to them. Stay focused, win, win, win on Sunday. You deserve it. You're the better team," he added.

Ross is convinced England can take home the top prize.

In another video, posted online, he said: "We did it! Boys did it! We're not through it yet. We've got another 90 minutes plus possible extra time but believe, believe, believe. Come on England!"

Earlier in the pandemic, Ross led a documentary about the NHS and their work during the health crisis.

And he got emotional as he praised the work they had done.

He commented: "All I can say is the care the patients are receiving here is second to none. The professionalism, the organisation, but most importantly it's the love. The people are being treated with so much care, so much love here.

"I've never been in a position like this in my life, but the NHS staff here are highly organised, incredibly professional, but they care."
