Ross Doohan's Celtic exit on loan to Tranmere linked to Connor Hazard return from injury

Tranmere Rovers are hopeful of signing Ross Doohan on-loan from Celtic.

Rovers boss Micky Mellon is eyeing up a reunion with the 23-year-old after his spell at Dundee United last season.

Doohan moved to Tannadice last season as emergency cover for Benjamin Siegrist after the Arabs number one broke his hand.

Celtic are open to allowing Doohan to leave in search of regular minutes but it's understood that the Hoops are waiting for Conor Hazard to return from injury.

The former Scotland under-21 internationalist has previously enjoyed loan spells at Ross County and Ayr United.

Dundee United also retain an interest in Doohan but they'd only make a move if Siegirst - who has been linked to Celtic - departed.
