Ross County blast fans for 'unacceptable' behaviour during Irn Bru Cup Final

Ross County have been forced to issue a statement condemning fans after some supporters allegedly damaged seats during yesterday's Irn Bru Cup Final victory.

The Staggies lifted the trophy after a 3-1 victory over Welsh side Connah's Quay Nomads, at the home of rivals Inverness Caledonian Thistle .

The trophy was heading to Wales before a late quickfire treble ensured Steven Ferguson and Stuart Kettlewell's men took the silverware home to Dingwall.

However fans have been accused of 'indulging in unacceptable conduct' during the celebrations, with seats at the Caledonian Stadium being targeted.

The statement also claims a 'small minority' are bringing the club into disrepute, amid a recent trend of misbehaviour within the support.

Ross County tweeted: "Ross County FC are aware of some of our fans indulging in unacceptable conduct and allegedly damaging seats at Caledonian Stadium at yesterday's Irn Bru Cup Final. We will work with ICTFC and Police Scotland to deal with any complaints that may arise.

"Irrespective of any action by other authorities, should any supporter be identified the club will take further action. There has been a trend of unacceptable conduct at recent derbies both home and away. This small minority of fans are bringing our club into disrepute."
