Leeds United are expected to make one more signing after confirming the signature of Diego Llorente.
The Spanish defender was signed from Real Sociedad on Thursday and becomes the Whites' seventh summer addition.
Marcelo Bielsa is believed to want one more fresh face at Elland Road, with an attacking midfielder targeted.
Talks to sign Udinese's Rodrigo de Paul are still ongoing but with little movement, Leeds are now looking at alternative additions.
Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley is the latest man to have his name linked with Leeds and with that in mind, here's a round-up of everything we know about a potential move to West Yorkshire.
Aston Villa interest
Aston Villa are one club fighting Leeds for the signature of Barkley, report The Telegraph.
Dean Smith's side are keen to take the Englishman or Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan for the season, with both likely to struggle for minutes after Chelsea's splurge in the transfer market.
Loftus-Cheek was omitted from Chelsea's Carabao Cup squad that beat Barnsley 6-0, whilst Barkley started the game, which could offer an indication s two which player is more likely to leave.
120K wages
The Telegraph also claim that Chelsea would want all of Barkley's wages covered if they were to sanction a loan.
The 26-year-old is currently earning 120k-per-week at Stamford Bridge and those wages could prove a stumbling block to any transfer.
De Paul latest
Udinese sporting director Pierpaolo Marino says no deal has been done for De Paul as negotiations continue to drag.
He said: "De Paul to Leeds?
"They've not matched €35m price tag at the moment... so I hope he can stay."
Leeds United link
While Leeds are still intent on signing Rodrigo De Paul from Udinese, they also accept that they may need to sign a playmaker from elsewhere if the deal cannot be completed.
Football Insider are reporting that their alternate target is Ross Barkley from Chelsea.
The former Everton man has actually played for the Whites before, as he spent time with the club on loan in 2012/13 when his career was getting underway.
Barkley got on the score sheet as Chelsea swept Barnsley aside 6-0 in the Carabao Cup last night, but he hasn’t started either of their first two league games this season.
