Ross Barkley scored a goal to remember on Tuesday night as he run from his own half and smashed past Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian to put Chelsea 2-0 ahead in their FA Cup fifth-round tie.

Barkley collected the ball in midfield and launched into a counter-attack as Liverpool's defence retreated. Pedro made a charging run down the right but Barkley ignored him, instead going alone.

As he reached the edge of the Liverpool box, the 26-year-old England international steadied himself before crashing a shot into the bottom-left corner.

The goal took the game seemingly beyond a Liverpool team made up of a mix of youth and experience, adding to Willian's opener which Adrian spilled into his net.

Adrian later made some kind of amends with a superb save to deny Oliver Giroud a third, having stopped Pedro when through on goal too.

Take a look at the video above to watch the goal.
