Rosie O’Donnell’s says her 17-year-old daughter Chelsea has been found a week after she was last seen and hours after the comic posted a statement on her website begging the public for help locating her.

Chelsea O’Donnell had last been seen in her home in Nyack last Tuesday, according to the statement. She left with her six-month-old therapy dog, a nine-pound brown and black terrier named Bear.

“Chelsea, like millions of people, lives with mental illness,” Cindi Berger, spokeswoman for the O’Donnells, told NBC 4 New York. “It has been a difficult road for Chelsea and her family and they just want her back safe.”

A spokesman with the South Nyack police department said that a report was made on Sunday but that she is not classified as missing. There is an investigation ongoing.

The actor and comedian posted about her daughter’s disappearance on her website and on Twitter. She said Chelsea may be in New York City, which is approximately 25 miles south of her home in Nyack.

It was not immediately clear where Chelsea was found or which department had her in custody.
