Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's bedding colors are primed for optimal rest – sleep coaches say

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

The average human spends approximately one-third of their life sleeping, so our philosophy is that we may as well do it in style with luxe bedding. But beyond bed dressings looking fabulous, our choice of linens can actually impact our quality of rest.

Take model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's bedding – the former Victoria's Secret Angel has made her bedroom an oasis via soft, silk pillowcases and a dreamy duvet to complement her minimal walls. What makes the luxury bedding exceptional, however, is its coloring.

Just as soft sheets or a white noise machine can help us sleep better, the shades of our bedding and surrounding furniture also have a lot to answer for. According to a sleep expert, Huntington-Whiteley's choice of pink and white is suited to enhance deep rest. But what makes it so impactful?

'The dusty pink or white color palette can positively impact sleep by creating a calming and soothing environment conducive to relaxation,' explains Max Kirsten, Resident Sleep Expert for PandaLondon.

'These colors evoke feelings of tranquility and serenity, which can help quiet the mind and promote a sense of calmness before bedtime. In particular, shades of pink are often associated with warmth, nurturing, and comfort, while white signifies purity and simplicity, both of which are essential for a restful sleep environment.'

The psychological impact of color on our well-being is not to be undermined. That being said, there's a reason we don't often see bright colors like red or orange in a bedroom; serene hues are much more likely to assist us in winding down rather than energizing us.

'The importance of color to sleep quality lies in its ability to influence our psychological and physiological responses,' Kirsten says. 'Research suggests that exposure to certain colors can affect mood, heart rate, and even hormone levels, all of which play a role in our ability to fall asleep and stay asleep.

By choosing colors that promote relaxation and reduce stress, such as dusty pink or white, individuals can create an environment that supports healthy sleep patterns and overall well-being.'

To complement these hues further, Huntington-Whiteley has painted her walls a subtle white hue, known to create a calming ambiance and ease us into sleep in a way beyond our bedsheets. However, when paired with the soft-hued sheets, we're sure this space is almost perfect for achieving a restful slumber.
