Australian of the Year for 2015, Rosie Batty will speak with journalist Tracey Spicer about her memoir. In February 2014, her 11–year–old son Luke was killed by his father in a violent incident. Batty has since become an outspoken crusader against domestic violence, and detailed the experience in her memoir. She has won the hearts of many Australians with her words of compassion, fortitude and grace.
Her story was instrumental in establishing the Royal Commission into family violence in 2015, committing a further $30 million for over four years to protect women and children at high risk of family violence.
