Roseland shooting: 1 killed: police

A man was killed in a shooting Thursday night in Roseland on the far South Side.

The 28-year-old was on the sidewalk about 10:50 p.m. in the 11000 block of South Lowe Avenue when someone fired shots, striking him in the head, Chicago police said.

He was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital, where he was later pronounced, according to police. The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details about the death.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
