Roseland robbers ask for change, then steal money: police

Two robberies were reported July 6, 2019 and July 8, 2019 in Roseland on the South Side.

Chicago police are warning Roseland residents about a pair of robberies in which two men approached females asking for change for a large bill, then stole the money when the victim agreed.

The robberies happened about 12:15 a.m. July 6 in the 11000 block of South Wentworth Avenue and about 3:30 p.m. July 8 in the 100 block of East 107th Street, according to Chicago police.

The robbers were described as two men between 22 and 25 years old, police said.

Anyone with information about these robberies is asked to call Area South detectives at 312-747-8273.
