Roseburn Terrace attack: Teenage boy taken to hospital after violent ambush outside Edinburgh Tesco

A teenage boy was taken to hospital after being violently ambushed on Edinburgh's Roseburn Terrace in a shocking assault and robbery.

Police were called to the Roseburn area at around 8pm last night (Wednesday, 18 November) following reports of an incident near the Tesco Express store.

When they arrived they found that a 15-year-old boy had been attacked and a black Nike bag, along with personal items, had been stolen from him. The victim was taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children for treatment to minor injuries.

Officers say three white men aged between 17 and 18 were responsible. One of the men spoke with a Liverpool accent. They were all wearing face masks. One man was wearing a light coloured tracksuit with a black fur lined jaked and black trainers. The other two had black hoodies, bottoms and trainers on.

Detective Sergeant Rory Legge, of Edinburgh CID, said: “The boy involved has thankfully only sustained minor injuries but has been left evidently shaken by what has happened.
