One Rose of Tralee contestant set the bar high on Monday night by deadlifting 100kg.
Meath Rose Meghan Byrne stunned the audience and viewers by her weightlifting skills on the first night of the festival.
The audience gave the Kells teacher a rousing reception as she flexed her muscles and hoisted the weights.
Impressed host Daithi O Se joked: “Could you have done a few more?”
Meghan won over viewers, including Sean Kelly MEP who showed his support for the teacher.
He said: "A new one for the Rose of Tralee as the Meath Rose does some weightlifting on stage with Daithi - lifts a 100kg no bother!
"That’s the stuff! Mick Lyons or Liam Harnan could hardly lift that!"
Another Twitter user said: "Meath Rose for the win. Weightlifting, great craic and a red ball gown. I'm sold."
A third added: "It has been a long time since I was invested in the Rose of Tralee - delighted to see the Meath Rose Meghan Byrne showcasing Girls Who Lift."
A fourth said: "The Meath Rose deadlifting 100kg in a ball gown is my newest girl power icon."
Another said: "It can’t be easy lifting weights in a dress- and she still looked amazing!"
Outside of school Meghan said she enjoys strength training with a community known as Complete Body Fitness, living “the sweaty life” and making best friends along the way.
It looks like she may have given her chances of winning a real lift.
The Rose of Tralee will finish on Tuesday night, airing at 8pm on RTE One.
