Rose Of Tralee 2019 festival fans delighted as Garda dances for crowd

A Garda delighted the Rose Of Tralee festival crowd with his dancing last night as the 2019 event kicked off for another year.

A parade took place last night on the streets of Tralee in Co Kerry, where the Rose Of Tralee International Festival is held annually.

With the opening sure to attract a large crowd, a garda presence was needed to ensure public safety.

But one officer wasn't content with just standing still and decided to show that the police can have some craic too.

The festival's Facebook page shared a clip of the man making his moves in front of the crowd, with the caption: "Even An Garda Síochána are in the party mood!"

Also out for the parade on Saturday evening were last year's winner, Waterford Rose Kirsten Mate Maher, and RTE host Daithi O Se.

Another video shared on the page was of the crowd doing a synchronised clap, made famous by the Icelandic football team.

The 2019 festival certainly seems to have kicked off in fine form.
