Rose Ayling-Ellis steps out arm-in-arm with Giovanni Pernice after 'break up dance'

Strictly Come Dancing star Rose Ayling-Ellis and pro dancer Giovanni Pernice looked happier than ever when they were spotted arm-in-arm as they left filming for spin-off show It Takes Two.

Fans have been eagerly watching the dancing duo storming the BBC dance competition, with many tipping them as favourites to win the show.

Eastenders actress Rose looked fresh-faced and relaxed as she appeared in an autumnal print dress and cosied up with Giovanni who had his arm around her waist.

Giovanni, who recently hit the headlines as he split from girlfriend Maura Higgins, was also smartly dressed with a bottle green suit paired with tan brogues.

The pair will be taking to the dance floor tonight to perform a passionate Tango to Shivers by Ed Sheeran for a spook-tacular Halloween inspired show.

Last weekend, Rose and the Strictly pro danced to Alicia Keys' 2009 hit Fallin', which many fans have since attributed to a nod to Giovanni's 'break up'.

The audience and judging panel were also swept up in the romantic routine as head judge Shirley Ballas admitted it resonated with her.

But on the dance floor his mind and his body were perfectly aligned with his on-screen partner who packed in the passion and earned themselves their first 10 score.

Some fans took to Twitter to point out his recent split from Love Island star Maura.

One Tweet read: "Interesting concept considering Gio just split with Maura."

Another asked: "Was Giovanni describing his relationship with Maura?"

One user pointed out: “Interesting concept considering Gio just split with Maura.”

Meanwhile the BBC dancer explained in a statement that there had been "no wrong doing" on either his or Maura's part as he released a lengthy statement.

He penned: "Firstly, great relationships with great people can come to a natural end. This has been the case for me recently. There was absolutely no wrong-doing and this should be the end of any speculation."

Their split, after four-months together, is thought to have been initiated by Giovanni, who also gave the lack of time they spent together amidst their hectic work schedules as a factor for them going their separate ways.
