Rose Ayling-Ellis' boyfriend Samuel Arnold finally spotted in Strictly audience

Rose Ayling-Ellis' rarely seen boyfriend Samuel Arnold was spotted cheering on the new Strictly champion and her pro partner Giovanni Pernice as they triumphed on the BBC show at the weekend.

After three months of dancing, where they were bookies' favourites for most of it, Rose and Giovanni saw off competition from John Whaite and Johannes Radebe to lift the Glitterball on Saturday.

Both couples finished on totals of 119 out of 120 after three dances, including a reprise of Rose and Giovanni's memorable Couple's Choice routine, before Strictly host Tess Daly revealed it was EastEnders actress Rose and first time winner Giovanni who had topped the public vote.

During Saturday's show, Rose was shown a montage of good luck messages from her family and Giovanni, but one person who was missing was boyfriend Sam.

Viewers were puzzled as to why he didn't feature in the video, although he was later seen in the studio audience for the first time to see his girlfriend clinch victory, much to the delight of those watching at home.

Samuel was seen celebrating with Rose's mum, who was then pictured embracing Rose on the dancefloor in the aftermath of her and Giovanni's win.

Judging by Instagram, Rose and Samuel have been an item for a number of years, with him featuring on pictures from a few years ago.

Rose and Giovanni were the most hotly tipped winners in Strictly winners, with bookmakers deciding in October that they were the ones to beat.

And, while they didn't always top the leaderboard, they remained odds on to triumph, well ahead of all their rivals in the betting.
